What we do

Preserve Heritage at Risk
We safeguard Caribbean cultural heritage — stories, creative works, and lived experiences — before they are lost, forgotten, or erased.

Celebrate Culture in Public Spaces
We bring Caribbean culture into shared cultural spaces through arts, exhibitions, performances, and public engagement that invite everyone in.

Empower through Culture
We use culture to build confidence, belonging, and opportunity — particularly for younger generations — through education, creative pathways, and participation.
Why this matters
Britain’s cultural life is vibrant, influential, and globally recognised - yet incomplete.
Caribbean culture has played a profound role in shaping modern Britain, influencing music, language, sport, food, and creative expression. Yet much of this contribution remains under-represented in public cultural spaces, education, and heritage narratives.
When people do not see their heritage reflected in the world around them, confidence weakens. Belonging erodes. And society misses the opportunity to benefit from the full richness of its shared cultural life.
OCACH was created to address this gap — not through confrontation or correction, but through completion.
Our Approach
OCACH’s work is:
- Inclusive, not confrontational
- Strategic, not scattergun
- Community-rooted and institution-facing
- Focused on long-term cultural impact
We collaborate with artists, educators, communities, funders, and partners to deliver work that is credible, measurable, and sustainable.
This is about shared value — and shared cultural benefit.

Our Purpose
OCACH is the Organisation for Caribbean Arts, Culture & Heritage.
We exist to ensure Caribbean arts, culture, and heritage are fully embedded within Britain’s shared cultural story — not as a footnote, but as an integral and visible part of national cultural life.
Our work is rooted in heritage, shaped by community, and designed to strengthen confidence, participation, and connection across generations.

Our Vision
We envision a Britain where Caribbean arts, culture, and heritage are fully embedded in shared cultural life — strengthening confidence, belonging, and opportunity for generations to come.
Our Programs of Impact
For over ten years, OCACH has been creating cultural impact through its flagship programme, GEMZ — supporting Caribbean arts, culture, and creative expression across communities.
Through GEMZ, OCACH has helped preserve cultural heritage, elevate creative voices, and provide platforms where Caribbean culture is visible, celebrated, and shared. This work has laid the foundation for OCACH’s next chapter: scaling impact and completing Britain’s cultural story for generations to come.

Supported Emerging Creative Talent
Supported and showcased hundreds of Caribbean creatives — including artists, designers, performers, and cultural practitioners — through exhibitions, performances, showcases, and community platforms.

Preserved and Shared Caribbean Cultural Heritage
Helped document, preserve, and share Caribbean cultural stories and creative expression, ensuring heritage at risk of being lost is recorded and passed on.

Delivered Community-Based Cultural Programmes
Delivered cultural programmes and events across multiple UK communities, creating accessible spaces for cultural participation, learning, and intergenerational exchange.

Built a Recognised Cultural Platform
Established GEMZ as a recognised platform for Caribbean arts and culture, trusted by creatives, communities, and audiences as a space for visibility, expression, and cultural pride.
Your support changes lives
Here at OCACH, we are building a long-term cultural mission — one that does not end with a single programme or funding cycle.

Corporate Partnerships
We could not do our work, drive the impact that we have, and build a network of hundreds of Alumni without our valued partners. These partners understand that culture builds confidence, connection, and thriving communities. OCACH partners with organisations that value the power of culture in building confidence, community connection, shared social value and opportunity for generations to come.

Philanthropists & Patrons
Completing Britain’s cultural story requires long-term vision and stewardship.
Philanthropic support helps preserve heritage at risk, empower future generations, and build a lasting cultural legacy that endures beyond individual programmes.

Funders & Institutions
OCACH works with trusts, foundations, and public bodies to strengthen cultural participation, confidence, and social cohesion.
Our programmes embed Caribbean arts, culture, and heritage into Britain’s shared cultural life — delivering measurable public benefit, strong governance, and long-term impact.
A Decade of Cultural Impact
For over ten years, OCACH has been creating cultural impact through its flagship programme, GEMZ — supporting Caribbean arts, culture, and creative expression across schools and communities.
Your donations make it possible to continue our work and carry out programs like GEMZ in schools, and other educational programs around the country. Because of our generous donors, we can bring much needed resources to individuals and communities across the country.
Over the past decade, we were able to accomplish some big things but we are stepping things up a notch to accomplish even bigger things over the next decade thanks to donors like you!
